Happy Anniversary Twiggy! 3.25.2012

Happy Anniversary Twiggy!!!

Yes! You’re not hallucinating! It’s already been 365 days since our relationship started. I remember back then we were fooling around during the retreat in FEU. And finally it has come down to this, LOVE sprung and we fell HARD for each other. No one can tear us apart. :) We’re 2 ham-hams meant to be with each other.

Okay so enough of me with my monologues (Iggy) Here’s a rundown on what happened during our 1st Anniversary together…

So me and Trish started to plan out our Anniversary since January and yes we had argued a lot on where to go what to do and when. Finally we’ve decided to have a sweet, thoughtful and affordable anniversary trip in Tagaytay (As you all know “we” started in Tagaytay) so it was just perfect to celebrate our Anniversary there.

March 24 early in the morning we set out our trip, rode the MRT til Taft Avenue where we rode a Bus going to Tagaytay. We bought chowking for breakfast and ate it on the way to Tagaytay. When we got there our first visit was in Our Lady of Lourdes Church hoping that we could catch the morning mass, unfortunately we were a bit late so we just gave our prayers and left.

And our next stop was at Memory Lane a cozy vintage themed restaurant located near Magallanes Drive.

Memory Lane

Very romantic spot. We had our Lunch here, guessed what we ordered? Oh yes! Bulalo!!! >:)

Of course we didn’t forget to take LOTS of photos here.. A few of which were…

it was already raining so we decided to take our last photo.

For our next stop, we went to Keni Po. It’s an apartelle/inn the great thing about it is it’s super affordable we spent 1500php for an overnight stay at their place. The place is not that bad, it’s really a value for money. Oh wait, did I forget to mention that we have our own bathroom and they have a swimming pool. :)

Standard Room with CR, TV, AC, DVD player (FYI: they have this clearbook full of movies that you can borrow from the lobby for FREE)

Since we’re so tired we decided to take a quick nap upon arrival at Keni Po. We were supposed to visit People’s Park but unfortunately quick nap turned into deep sleep. We woke up around 4pm already and we already missed our alloted time for the park. So we decided to prep up for our Dinner Date in Tagaytay. We went to Cliff House by trike (just outside Keni Po) and mind you tricycles there were like taxi’s since their rates start from 40 up depending on how far is your destination. So anyway we arrived in Cliff House all dressed up fancy, well who wouldn’t if the place looks like this..

Twishy found this great Italian Resto called Buon Giorno.

The Best Part of it is, she reserved us a spot on the “Opium Bed” which would be the seats with curtains on it. Very romantic. <3

and we ordered a lot of FOOD!

Crema de Funghi -168.00

New York Pizza -295.00

Fettuccine alla Carbonarra - 280.00

Rocky Rono Mocha - 112.00

Steak Panini - 252.00

(prices from www.munchpunch.com) actually  I can’t remember the prices already. :(

After the extravagant meal, we just chilled with Tagaytay breeze. :)

When we got back from Cliff House, twishy went out to get some DVD’s that we can watch. So I stayed in the room watching Mars Needs Moms on Star Movies while I heard loud popping noises. From there, I was felt something’s fishy and I was right! Twishy prepared red balloons shaped into a heart plus mini cupcakes with candles that spell out ” I <3 U” and lastly she made these string with hearts stapled on them. It was pretty sweet and thoughtful of her to do that. Although, she was a bit dissapointed that the balloons were not able to form the heart due to the strong wind outside, some of the popped already. But i told her not to worry because she already did so much and I was really happy. On top of that she made me a letter. :)

Balloons that were supposed to form a heart that should be floating in the pool that can be seen on our window.

On that same night we were supposed to release a Heart Shaped Sky Lantern but due to the strong winds outside we weren’t able to do so.

The following morning, we decided to have breakfast in Keni Po.

and then we swam in the ice cold pool before leaving. :)

It was a fruitful and memorable Anniversary for us. We’re happy that we were able to enjoy without spending too much and we were satisfied.

So there! Our 1st Anniversary, we hope to have more wonderful and more memorable anniversaries to come. And if problems come along the way, we would face them together. Happy Loving Ham-Hams. <3
